Our Reseach
The team agroecological assessments performs interdisciplinary research across environmental, economic, and
social sustainability dimensions for advancing a holistic understanding of agriculture and food systems and exploring pathways towards an agroecological transition.
We combine scientific approaches with real-world impact by working at the interface of environmental and social sciences and by placing farmers,
citizens, and other stakeholders at the center of research and innovation. Rather than studying agricultural systems in isolation, we view them as
interconnected social-ecological systems in which environmental health, economic viability, and societal well-being must be advanced together.
We focus on agroecology, with soil health as a central entry point. Our research is transdisciplinary and participatory. We work with stakeholders throughout the research process, from identifying challenges to developing, testing, and evaluating solutions. Participatory research, citizen science, Living Labs, and other collaborative approaches help connect scientific knowledge with practical experience and local needs.
